The latest instalment in our series of spots chronicling the stories of everyday Vhi subscribers is finally here! Rory tells the story of a paramedic who developed serious back trouble threatening his job and relationship with his young daughter. Vhi steps in to cover the high tech surgery which saves the day, leading to the touching moment where Rory can once again lift his own daughter.
The spot uses an atmospheric lighting set up inspired by Rory’s own early hours shifts and the action plays out on the worktop of a kitchen at dawn enabling us to use glowing light as a story tool. Glowing ambulance lights from our little 3D van models are complemented by a luminous ring of long exposure light created by Rory’s phone call to Vhi.
This spot also features detailed interaction between the real Rory and the tabletop scenes created entirely in 3D. It was great to meet Rory, a real life hero with quite a story to tell. We hope everyone is just a little touched by his troubled tale and it’s glowing, happy ending.
